I always keep coming back to this place. The staff helped me with my luggage on my first stay which I remember. It suits me perfectly with Free Wi-Fi, Off-site car park, 24-hour security, and a coffee shop. Can't wait for my next city break here!

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the comfortable Japanese-style rooms with staff arranging the futons every evening. The in-suite dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the staff was very polite. The ryokan is conveniently located close to the city center, and there is a public bath just a 3-minute walk away. The colorful yukatas provided for the ladies added a fun touch to our stay.
The hospitality at Nishimuraya Honkan was outstanding, and we felt very welcome. There was nothing to complain about during our stay.

Magnificent views, truly enjoyed good and excellent setting.
Location: the hotel was so close to many shops, Nishimuraya Honkan, and the temples on the way. The place was minute walk from Sumibikushiyaki Fuji, where you can have dinner...

It was amazing! Such a wonderful stay that we were truly sad to go. The ryokan was beautiful and clean and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Our stay was so enjoyable, relaxing and fun. It was the highlight of our trip to Japan.
It would have been nice to have been offered one drink of choice off the menu for free (included in the kaiseki meal), instead of having to pay extra. The karaoke is really expensive at 5000 yen for a room for an hour. It would have been nice to have something like that offered for free to make the experience more enjoyable also.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly welcoming and attentive. They made sure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. the hotel had beautiful gardens that added to the overall charm of the place. The serene environment was perfect for relaxation. the location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants.
There could have been more information provided in English about the local area and the onsen. It would have been helpful to have a map and details on how to access each onsen.

The bedroom had delightfully firm futons and pillows that were filled with a buckwheat substitute. It felt like sleeping on a cloud and gave us a cozy and comfortable night's rest. As a family with two small kids, we couldn't have asked for a more relaxing sleep experience.
Personally, we found the ultra-traditional altars with flower arrangements in the rooms to be a bit overwhelming. However, we understand that some guests may appreciate the cultural significance and find it charming.

The hotel's traditional Japanese decoration was absolutely enchanting! From the beautiful gardens to the historic building, every corner exuded a sense of tranquility and elegance. It was a pleasure to explore and take in the beauty of the surroundings. As a senior woman, I truly appreciated the hotel's accessibility. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. They kindly assisted me whenever I needed help navigating the property and always treated me with the utmost respect and care.
If I had one small suggestion, it would be for the hotel to provide more seating areas throughout the property. As a senior traveler, sometimes I needed a place to rest and relax during my explorations.

I absolutely loved my stay at this Ryokan! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The hotel facilities were outstanding, from the beautifully manicured garden to the perfectly designed restaurant. The hotel's location was easy to reach from the train station, and it was close to the city center.
Don't have any issues at all.

The public bath/onsen services were a highlight of my stay. The indoor mineral hot springs provided a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. , the authentic yukata provided added to the traditional atmosphere of the ryokan.
One minor negative aspect I encountered was regarding the hotel's tattoo policy.

I chose this hotel for attending a networking event and it lived up to my expectations. The facilities were top-notch and the staff provided exceptional service. The traditional features and stunning gardens created a peaceful atmosphere. The onsen was a perfect way to unwind after a long day.
The only service that I missed for my work was a dedicated business center or meeting room. It would have been helpful to have a designated space for meetings or to handle any last-minute work needs.

We stayed at a ryokan in Japan for one night and it was the highlight of our trip. The ryokan had incredible garden views and a wonderful staff who were accommodating to English-speaking guests. The gender separated onsens were small but well-maintained, and offered beautiful views of the stylish interior gardens. The food was absolutely incredible, with eight-course dinners served in our room by a sweet room attendant who bowed after each course. The interiors were beautiful, and we were even provided with traditional Yakatas to wear. The rooms in both the main building and annex were spacious and comfortable.
Nothing, all good! 😊
